About EGPR

Esther Garnick, founder and director of publicity, began her career as an intern at CTV’s etalk in an age where it only took four human beings to produce a national Canadian television show. It was there that her fascination in the connection between journalism and PR began.

Taking a leap of faith as a young freelance PR practitioner with naive determination, Esther’s experience and client list grew, causing the eventual transition from one-woman-show to company in 2008.

Since then, EGPR has won national and global accounts, and has successfully helped to rebrand iconic beauty and fashion labels such as Hard Candy, Sorel and Rockport in the Canadian market. EGPR is also known for creating the Essentials Lounge, the original experiential media lounge for journalists covering the Toronto International Film Festival.
